How to play
Goal
Your goal is to fly as far as possible in the tunnel. You lose if you hit any obstacles or walls. The further you fly, the more you get score. The game gets more difficult as you go forward.
Controls
Press left mouse button, space or enter to fly upwards. Gravity takes care of going down.
Special items
You can collect different kind of special items which affect you for a short period of time in the ways described below.
Green item (Haste) increases your speed by 30% which makes dodging harder but you get 60% extra score. Note that the score gets more increased than speed so picking up Haste could be a wise decision.
Purple item (Slowness) decreases your speed by 30% which makes dodging easier but you also get 40% less score. Note that the score gets more decreased than speed so picking up Slowness is probably not always that wise decision.
Blue item (Super Vision) gives you supervision which makes you able to see through obstacles.
Yellow item (More Score) gives you 25% extra score.
Red item (Less Score) decreases the amount of score you get by 25%.
Unlockable special items
The unlockable items are not available when playing with the Guest account.
Green-striped red item (Longer effects) makes all current effects last for ten seconds more. The item can be unlocked by getting score higher than 500 with you account.
Yellow-striped blue item (90 Degrees) rotates the screen 90 degrees but gives you a 50% score bonus. The item can be unlocked by getting score higher than 1000 with you account.
Blue-striped green item (Rotate) makes the screen rotate gradually 360 degrees but it also grants a 100% score bonus. The item can be unlocked by getting score higher than 2000 with you account.
Menu
When you start the game, you are asked for a user name and a password. If you don't have a user account yet, you can create one by giving a name and a password (optional) of your desire. You can also choose to play as a quest.
In main menu you can start new game by clicking Play. If you need more instructions, click How to play. Click Challenges to see if you have been challenged or to challenge other players to a duel. Relogin allows you to change the account you are playing with. Quit does something mysterious.
When you die, you can submit your score to the normal scoreboards but you can also submit it to a specific score group if you want to compare your scores easily with you friends, for example. A new group can be created by writing a non-existing group name and password (optional) here.
You can also submit a recording of your game when submitting the score. This way anyone can watch how you played your run through the website's highscores and profile pages. In challenge games and when you make your new record, recording submission is done automatically. In challenges the recordings bring a tactical element to the game because you can watch the recordings of the opponent's runs before you play your own run and possibly make some tactics beforehand.
Challenges
Other players can be challenged to a duel. When you win a challenge you get challenge score and your rank increases in the challenge ladder. When you lose a challenge you lose challenge score. The better the player you win the more you get score. The worse the player who beats you the more you lose score. So you should play against players of your level. Also, you get less score from players you have already played against many times.
If you get better score than your opponent, he or she gets a new chance to improve his or her score. The challenge continues until one of the players gets less score than the other one got. In a challenge the tunnel is always identical for both players until the end of the whole challenge.
If you don't play challenges for a long time your challenge score starts decreasing. If you ignore a challenge for two weeks it disappears and you get a small score penalty.
